Gmail sending for Growth AI is ready
Hi Patryk. Members can now connect their own Gmail on the Prospecting page, and Growth AI can send emails from their address. I tested it end to end with my own Gmail, and the test email arrived.
How it works
"Send from your Gmail" sits at the top of growth.inspire.film/members/prospecting.
The app can't open anyone's inbox. Nobody sees anyone else's Gmail, including you and me.
It runs on its own Google project. Nothing is shared or mixed.
Only Gmail addresses we add by hand can connect. No public Google approval needed yet.
About the Manus key: I checked it. It's already stored safely as a secret, not in the code, so there's nothing to fix.

Open the Prospecting page and click Connect Gmail.
- Google says "This app isn't verified". Click Advanced, then Go to Growth AI.
- Make sure "Send email on your behalf" is ticked.
- Click Send test email and check that inbox.
- Send me 2–3 member Gmail addresses Pick paying members who should try it. I'll add them so they can connect.
For Claude, when you build the draft + sending part
Paste this into Claude:
To send an email from the member's connected Gmail, use sendAs() from supabase/functions/_shared/growthGmail.ts. Send slowly (one email every few minutes), because personal Gmail allows about 500 emails per day. If it returns reconnect_required, ask the member to reconnect Gmail on the Prospecting page.
Good to know
- In test mode, Google disconnects every 7 days. The member just clicks Reconnect Gmail.
- When people start using it and you want everyone to connect without being added by hand, we'll need a privacy policy page and Google's approval. That's a few days of waiting on Google, not much work.
- I merged the backend changes into production myself (PR #207), so you don't need to do anything there.
